Hairsmiths was launched in 2011 from pure passion and a desire to create a stylish boutique salon with talented and enthusiastic stylists and technicians.
"We have a great team with experience gained at Toni & Guy, London Fashion Week, Wella, L'Oreal, Kinki and Label M you can be assured that you are in safe hands".
"Simply put - we love what we do and it shows".
HERE'S OUR TEAM
In summary, salon owner Debs’ career began in 1998 with Toni & Guy Brighton, continuing with the company in Norwich, transcending to the founding of Hairsmiths in 2011.
With experience at Toni & Guy (London and Brighton), London Fashion Week, Session work, Theatre & Events and Photographic Assignments, Deb has progressed through hairdressing and has been, and is, Senior Style Director, Salon Educator, NVQ Assessor, Academy Trainer, Breakthrough Team Member and Art Team Member of the London Academy.
“My love of session and editorial work has seen numerous seasons at London Fashion Week, Clothes Show Birmingham, Mainstage Kensington & Salon International. When I set up Hairsmiths it was based on a desire to create a well-educated, calm and successful salon with passionate and inspired stylists and technicians. I adore the fact that our clients leave our salon feeling better than when they arrived.”
Kate started her hairdressing career back in 1992 and she went on to complete her training at the Hairdressing Training Association and then moved to Norwich. Kate is committed to progression and refining her techniques through courses such as Great Lengths, Aveda, GHD, Label M, Wella & L’Oréal. Additionally she has been a Senior Director and Salon Educator.
“I spent 9 great years working at fabulous salons where I was fortunate to be involved in numerous events including the London Academy and local fashion shows. Latterly, a great opportunity arose for me to train with Ian Carmichael for Steiner, which led me to work on the Princess Cruises and travel the Caribbean.”
Jonnie started his hairdressing career in 2004 and has worked in salons across the UK. Jonnie qualified at Toni & Guy London Academy and achieved the Advanced Cutting & Colouring Diploma. Additionally, he has trained and gained a Colour Diploma from L’Oréal. Jonnie joined Hairsmiths at the start of 2011 and displays maturity and skill beyond his years.
“I’ve had the opportunity of working in well-respected salons. My aim has always been to offer a great personal service to clients, getting to know what they want and delivering great results. I have experience in all aspects of cutting, styling and colouring. Whether short, long, colour or extensions, hair is my passion.”
Kirsty is part of the Hairsmiths Salon colouring team and her experience is wide ranging from Kinki and Mane. Through hard work and many satisfied clients, Kirsty won the Regional L’Oréal Young Colour Trophy of the Year. Additionally, she has held the title of Teaching and Salon Educator at Senior Technician level.
“Realising my passion for colour early on in my hairdressing career led me to channel my creative energy into becoming a colour specialist. Since then I’ve completed many courses at the Wella and Schwarzkopf Academies in London. I love all aspects of colour from creating fashion-forward looks to classic and beautiful highlights.”
Cinnie joined us in 2011 and has since proved an invaluable member of the Hairsmiths team. Cinnie’s training has been intense whilst working with us and she has recently completed her Advanced Cutting & Colouring qualification at the London Toni & Guy Academy. Balayage, Slicing Out and Advanced Cutting techniques can now be added to her ever expanding bank of talents.
“Whilst training I gained great experience of the Norwich hairdressing industry working in a busy salon. Since joining Hairsmiths in 2011, I haven’t looked back. I love every aspect of hairdressing and, working with such a tight knit team, I’m able to learn new skills every day. I really value my on-going training and development and I adore the fact that I’m keeping abreast of trends and techniques every season”.
Not only is she managing her own client base, she continues to support the entire team at photoshoots, feature assignments and off-site events.
Make up Artist, Sherrie Sparkes, regularly collaborates on the Hairsmiths’ how to guide… as seen in the Norfolk Magazine.
‘I’ve worked with some great names over the years including Royal Ascot, Vivienne Westwood, Bryan Ferry and previously worked with M.A.C. prior to embarking on my freelance career. I provide a full make up service incorporating weddings, proms, events, photo shoots and session work and decided to build upon my skill base by undertaking HD Brow training. It’s a great option for clients wishing to tame their brows and works amazingly well with the existing make up services I offer’.
Sherrie can be booked as part of the Hairsmiths bridal services as one of the make up artists we work with.
Helen is the most recent addition to the expanding Hairsmiths family.
Helen’s hairdressing career started back in 2001, where she obtained her colour diploma in Wella at the Toni & Guy academy. After being 6 years qualified in styling & colouring, Helen then went on to work in Manchester & London. In addition to the Toni & Guy diploma, Helen has gained a wide range of colouring experience using brands such as Wella, L’Oreal, Redken, Goldwell, Matrix and Organic systems. In addition to her well-honed salon based skills, Helen has also worked on photo shoots as a stylist and colourist working with session stylists and model agencies.
“So far I have enjoyed 12 great years in the industry. These last 3 years spent in London have been inspirational as I’ve worked alongside some of the most amazing hairdressers the industry has to offer, as well as involvement in some inspirational projects. I have returned to Norwich with a drive to inspire and be inspired by my fellow colleagues”.
